What do the song statuses mean?
A song has one status at a time, shown as a coloured dot. It tells you at a glance which songs are ready to pitch.
- Inbox: new and not sorted yet. Every song you add starts here.
- Demo: a demo or a work in progress.
- Pitch Ready: finished and ready to pitch.
- On Hold: not available for now, for example while an artist has it on hold.
- Scheduled Release: has a release date coming up.
- Released: out now.
PITTO never changes a status by itself. You decide when a song moves on.
To change a status: open the song, click the pencil next to its status under the song title, and pick a new one. You change one song at a time.
To find songs by status: use the Library group in the Catalog sidebar (Inbox, Demos, Pitch Ready, Scheduled, Released). For On Hold, use the Status filter above the song list. It lists the statuses your songs have.
Status and Smart Match: on PITTO Pro, Smart Match only suggests analysed songs marked Pitch Ready or Demo. Songs still in Inbox are left out, so move them on when they're ready. See How do I find songs for a lead?.
