How do I connect Spotify?

Spotify is optional. With it, you can look up artists and tracks and, with Spotify Premium, play Spotify tracks in PITTO's player next to your own songs. Without it, Spotify items open in the Spotify app or your browser.

You need your own (free) Spotify developer key:

1. In PITTO, go to Settings → Spotify and click How do I get a key? for the full guide.
2. At developer.spotify.com, create an app called PITTO with the redirect URI http://127.0.0.1:17823/callback, and tick Web API and Web Playback SDK.
3. Copy the Client ID and Client secret into Settings → Spotify and save.
4. Click Connect Spotify. Your browser opens Spotify's login page.
5. Log in with your Spotify account and click Agree to allow PITTO.
6. Go back to PITTO. Settings → Spotify now shows Connected.

Finish the login within 2 minutes. If it times out, click Connect Spotify again.

"Spotify Premium is required for in-app playback" means the Spotify account you connected isn't Premium.
